Theodore Witt 9/08/2020
16061 Tretheway Rd.
Lodi, Ca. 95240
San Joaquin County Planning
Re: Application# PA 2000137 (DV)
Regarding proposed off site winery application at 16201 North Tretheway Rd.
Lodi California, the undersigned property owners in the surrounding area are opposed to
the use of the property involved in the above-referenced application as a winery/event
center for the following reasons:
(1) The building is not set back from the road the required 200 feet.
(2) It is within .2 miles of a residential area: there are nearly 50 homes within %2 mile of
the proposed site. Many people walk each side of Tretheway road with families and
pets. There is no shoulder on either side, making increased traffic an extreme safety
issue.
(3) The proposed use is within a quiet residential area where a winery and event center
should not be allowed as such a use of property will interfere with the quiet enjoyment
of the surrounding landowners:there will be more noise for all neighboring residents to
contend with.
If approved there will be increased traffic with safety issues and increased noise
none of which was present at the time the other landowners moved to this area: the other
landowners DID NOT move into the area to reside close to a wine bar and event center.
Given the above, the undersigned landowners urge the planning department to
deny this application.
Thank you
Theodore Witt
