Edwards Ave, Oakdale
APN 207-260-52, SR0082487
The San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department (EHD) has reviewed the Soil Suitability/Nitrate
Loading (SSNL) Study, dated August 17, 2020 and submitted on August 20, 2020 for the above noted
location, and has the following comments for your consideration.
The SSNL was prepared to determine the suitability of the above noted parcel for onsite wastewater treatment
system (OWTS) usage and the potential long-term impact of nitrate to groundwater for the following proposed
project.
1. A two-bedroom modular home as a second unit dwelling on a 2.10 acres lot.
2. The OWTS usage wastewater averages 400 gallons a day from existing four-bedroom home and the
proposed two-bedroom modular home. The OWTS wastewater volume of 400 gallons per day is used
for long-term nitrate loading determination and not to be used for septic system design.
Based on the information provided, the EHD can make the following findings:
1. Based on the information provided, the EHD finds that the SSNL Study supports the suitability for
standard OWTS usage for future development on the proposed parcels, pursuant to San Joaquin
County Ordinance Code Title 9, Section 9-1105.2(d), provided the existing and proposed OWTS and
100% replacement areas can meet all required minimum setbacks from any water wells.
2. Septic sizing and design shall meet OWTS standard and daily flow rate of 150 gallons per day per
bedroom.
If you have any questions please contact Naseem Ahmed, Senior Registered Environmental Health
Specialist, at nahmed .org or (209) 468-3436.
Michael Kith, REHS
Program Coordinator
c: Live Oak
1868 E.
