Fairlane Rd., Acampo
APN 005-270-15, SR0082588
The San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department (EHD) has reviewed the Soil
Suitability/Nitrate Loading (SSNL) Study, dated September 10, 2020 and submitted on September
11, 2020 for the above noted location and has the following comments for your consideration.
The SSNL was prepared to determine the suitability of the above noted parcel for onsite wastewater
treatment system (OWTS) usage and the potential impact of nitrate to groundwater for the proposed
project development. The proposed development project includes:
1. A two-bedroom dwelling on a 0.42-acre lot.
2. The OWTS usage wastewater averages 150 gallons per day from the proposed two-bedroom
dwelling. The OWTS wastewater volume of 150 gallons per day is used for long-term nitrate
loading determination and not to be used for septic design.
Based on the information provided, the EHD can make the following findings:
1. Based on the information provided, the EHD finds the SSNL Study supports the suitability for
standard OWTS usage for future development on the proposed parcels, pursuant to San
Joaquin County Ordinance Code Title 9, Section 9-1105.2(d), provided the existing and
proposed OWTS and 100% replacement areas can meet all required minimum setbacks from
any water wells.
2. Septic sizing and design shall meet OWTS standard and daily flow rate of 150 gallons per
day per bedroom.
If you have any questions please contact Jeffrey Wong, Lead Senior Registered Environmental
Health Specialist, REHS, atjwong@sjgov.org or (209) 468-0335.
Michael Kith, REHS
Program Coordinator
C: Cindy & Keith Nienhuis, 5828 E.
