Box 3048 PERMIT/SERVICES <br /> Portland, OR 97208 <br /> Dear Mr. McCormick: <br /> MC CORMICK AND BAXTER, STOCKTON: APPRQVAL OF WORKPLAN FOR <br /> REMEDIAL INVESTIGATION AND FEASIBILITY STUDY <br /> The Department and Board have reviewed the "Workplan for <br /> Completion of the Site Assessment Plan and Pollution Control <br /> Mitigation Plan" for the McCormick and Baxter, Stockton, site <br /> submitted 11 May 1987 . <br /> Department and Board staff also met with Larry Shiba of McCormick <br /> and Baxter and staff of CH2M-Hill on 23 June 1987 and discussed <br /> a draft of the attached comments (Attachment 1) . At that meeting <br /> the State indicated that the workplan was in substantial <br /> compliance with the requirements outlined in our 27 March 1987 <br /> letter. There was general agreement on the majority of the <br /> comments discussed. However, on two points there still appears <br /> to be disagreement: 1) the need for continuously cored borings to <br /> provide geologic data and 2) pump test procedures. It was agreed <br /> that State staff would be available to discuss these two issues <br /> further, if necessary. <br /> We hereby approve the proposed workplan subject to the following <br /> conditions. <br /> 1) The workplan must be amended to provide the additions, <br /> corrections, and infor <br />
