Allen Letter <br /> Item Paragraph Response <br /> Continuous 1,2,3,4,5,6 The successful pump test results <br /> Coring combined with the existing sub- <br /> surface information, answers the <br /> questions and concerns stated. <br /> There is no need to continuously <br /> sample boreholes. Continuous <br /> coring would provide no signi- <br /> ficant data for evaluating and/ <br /> or implementing remedial mea- <br /> sures at the site and would <br /> waste valuable funds which could <br /> be applied to other issues. <br /> Response to Comments--July 13, 1988 (REQCB Comments J.Allen Letter) <br /> Comment Response <br /> 1 The information to determine the <br /> proposed next offsite well loca- <br /> tions and onsite delineation of <br /> contamination will be provided <br /> in the quarterly report, asso- <br /> ciated technical memorandums, <br /> and in the upcoming technical <br /> meeting. <br /> 2 We propose to discuss the <br /> monitoring program at the upcoming <br /> meeting. The issue which needs <br /> to be resolved is how much of <br /> the budget to spend on monitor- <br /> ing and how much of the limited <br /> budget to spend on other in- <br /> vestigation work versus how the <br /> results will further progress <br /> towards remediation. <br /> 3 We agree that the state should <br /> timely respond to M&B' s com- <br /> ments. <br /> 4 We agree with performing total <br /> chromium analysis on groundwater <br /> and that chromium detected <br /> should be assumed to be hexa- <br /> valent chromium. <br />
