TECHNICAL RESPONSE
RESPONSE TO COMMENTS - JULY 5 letter from J. ALLEN (DHS Com-
ments on McCormick & Baxter Community Relations Plan [CRP]
dated April 1988)
CRP Page DHS
Referenced Paragraph Response
D-8 1 DHS requests rewording of the para-
graph that states that there has
has been little community interest
shown about the site. This state-
ment was based on evaluation of
historical interest in the site ,
as reflected in the DHS Community
Profile (August 1987) . We acknow-
ledge that recent activities in-
volving community relations, such
as the community interviews, have
increased awareness and therefor
interest at the site.
The DHS comment is noted, and we
agree the paragraph should be re-
worded for clarity in any future
revisions of the CRP. We do not
consider this change significant
enough to warrant a revision of the
plan at this time.
D-8 and 11 1 DHS requests deletion of the
sentence stating that the El Dorado
School is not an integral part of
the local community. We acknowl-
edge this comment and agree. The
sentence was poorly worded. The
sentence should be deleted in any
future revisions of the plan. We
do not consider this change signif-
icant enough to warrant a revision
of the CRP at this time.
D-19 1 DHS requests modification of the
third sentence, which states that
McCormick and Baxter will have pri-
mary responsibility for implemen-
tation of all community relations
activities. DHS asks that the
sentence be reworded to read that
McCormick and Baxter is responsible
for the development and implemen-
t
