All violations must be corrected within specified timeframe. Violations that are classified as"MAJOR"pose an immediate threat to public health <br /> and must be corrected immediately or be subject to closure pursuant to California Code of Regulations(Title 22)section 65545. <br /> #8 Pool and Deck Lighting <br /> OBSERVATIONS:The light in the spa is very dim an needs replacement by a brighter light fixture.The light in the spa <br /> should provide enough light for the entire spa. Provide a brighter light fixture in the spa. <br /> CALCODE DESCRIPTION:Pools used at night shall be equipped with underwater light fixtures that provide complete illumination of the <br /> pool. When a pool is used at night,pool deck and emergency egress areas shall be provided with lighting. If underwater or deck lighting is <br /> not operational, the pool operator shall post a sign in 4-inch letters stating"NO USE OF POOL ALLOWED AFTER DARK"and shall <br /> secure the pool area and not permit any use of the pool after dark. (31156) <br /> #10 Disinfectant Residual <br /> OBSERVATIONS:Chlorine was measured at 35 ppm. The chlorine should be between 2.0 and 10.0 ppm when using <br /> cyanuric acid. Correct chlorine Concentration today. <br /> CALCODE DESCRIPTION:Public pools, when open or in use,shall be disinfected continuously by approved chemicals and shall maintain <br /> the following concentrations: 1.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free chlorine without cyanuric acid, 2.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free chlorine with cyanuric acid <br /> or 2.0 ppm bromine. Spas, wading pools,and spray grounds shall maintain the following concentrations:3.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free <br /> chlorine or 4.0 ppm bromine. (CCR 65529) <br /> #20 Depth Marking Line <br /> OBSERVATIONS:Water level was high upon arrival. Maintain water level so that skimmers can function properly. <br /> CALCODE DESCRIPTION:Pools with water depth greater than 5 feet shall have a slip resistant tile at the bottom of the pool where the <br /> water depth is 4 1/2 feet. Tile line shall be of a contrasting color and be between 4 to 6 inches wide. (CBC 31 10B) <br /> #22 Skimmer Assembly <br /> OBSERVATIONS:Skimmers are lacking a weight to hold the basket down in the basket seat. Put a weighted object in the <br /> skimmer basket to keep the basket seated. <br /> CALCODE DESCRIPTION:Pool shall be equipped to provide continuous skimming of the pool water. All parts of the skimmer shall be <br /> maintained in accordance with manufacturer specifications.
