It has been our practice in the past to have technicians perform the test and EHD to be present if available . In the recent past, due to staff shortage, we are not able to be present for the testing . We would like to have that flexibility to be able to witness the tests . In the future with enough staff we will continue this practice . You had requested to perform monitoring certifications at night . During our conversation I informed you that EHD is ok with night inspection if staff is available . Overtime charges will apply for any inspection outside of EHD ' s regular business hours ( prior approval is required in writing ) . We decided that early mornings would work for us and you agreed . If the inspector arrives at 5 am , it will give him /her enough time to witness the testing . Paper inspections can continue after 8 am . Continue sending your notification as usual and we will confirm if staff is available and it is ok to proceed . Keep in mind to start the notification process early enough so there is time for any changes . It will be Costco ' s responsibility to get all testing performed on time .
