A 55 gallon bl e steel drum of used oil was observed in the hazardous waste storage area without <br /> hazardous properti s or <br /> a hysical state on the label. A 55 gallon black steel drum of used oil was <br /> observed in by the ransmi sion draining area without hazardous properties or a physical state on the <br /> label. All hazardous waste containers shall be marked with the following information.. <br /> 1. the words "Haza dous aste" <br /> 2. name and addre s of ge erator <br /> 3. hazardous prope ies (fl mmable, corrosive, reactive, toxic) <br /> 4. physical state (s lid, liqu d) <br /> 5. composition (con ents) <br /> 6. accumulation sta date <br /> Immediately label t ese co tainers and ensure that all hazardous waste containers are marked with all <br /> the required inform tion. <br /> 701. A 55 gallon blu steel rum of used oil in the hazardous waste storage area and a 55 gallon black <br /> steel drum of used it in the transmission draining area were observed with accumulation start dates of <br /> August 27, 2010. <br /> Ile <br /> ho generate less than 1000 kg of hazardous waste per month and do not <br /> exceed 6000 kgof asente st red on site at any time may store waste on site up to 180 days. <br /> Immediately contact a liced hazardous waste hauler to dispose of this waste under manifest and <br /> submit a copy of the manife t to the EHD by January 7, 2012. <br /> 703. An emergency oordin for and modified contingency plan information is lacking. There must be at <br /> least one emergenc coordi ator on site or on call to coordinate emergency response measures, and <br /> the following inform tion m st be posted by a phone: the name and phone number of the emergency <br /> coordinator; location of fire xtinguishers, spill control equipment, and if present, fire alarm; and the <br /> phone number of th fire de artment, unless the facility has a direct alarm. Immediately appoint an <br /> emergency coordina or and ost the required information by a phone. A form is provided that can be <br /> used for this purpos . Sub it proof of correction to the EHD by January 7, 2012. <br /> 703. At the time of in pectio , it could not be demonstrated (not necessarily documented) that <br /> employees who ha le haz rdous waste were properly trained. According to the facility contact, training <br /> is not being conduct d. The generator must ensure that all employees who handle hazardous waste are <br /> thoroughly familiar w th prop r waste handling and emergency procedures.
