The recycling system easily punctures aerosol cans, rendering them exempt from <br /> hazardous waste regulations when properly emptied. <br /> References: N/A <br /> Definitions: N/A <br /> Forms: N/A <br /> Procedure: <br /> 1. Insert domed can(jumbo/standard/mini), lower top cover to hold can firmly in place, tighten knob. <br /> 2. Use the sleeve for standard cans remove for jumbo cans. <br /> 3. Lower the top plate and firmly seat the can and tighten the lock knob. <br /> 4. Depress the handle to puncture the can and relieve the pressure. <br /> 5. DO NOT release the can until all the contents are dispersed. <br /> 6. Remove the can and position the top plate back into position and tighten knob to seal drum. <br /> Safety: <br /> I. Always use in a well-ventilated area. <br /> 2. Wear safety glasses, goggles, or face shield must be worn when using the unit. <br /> 3. Drum must be ground with anti-static wire. <br /> 4. Monitor the filter life and replace as indicated. <br /> 5. Always lock the can firmly in place. <br /> 6. Do not fill drum to over 70% capacity. <br /> 7. Replace gasket as needed to keep a good seal. <br /> 8. Clean and lubricate puncture pin regularly. <br /> 9. Do not co-mingle corrosives, oxidizers, and solvents. Chemical reactions may generate heat and <br /> unsafe vapors. <br /> 10.
