Return the binder to the shelf beside the store's Hazardous Materials <br /> binder. <br /> Fluorescent Lamp Recycling <br /> The Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager: <br /> • obtains the signed manifest from the Sylvania driver when the used lamp <br /> is picked up, and <br /> • files the manifest in the binder. <br /> The Maintenance technician: <br /> • inspects the manifest binder on every scheduled visit to ensure records <br /> are up-to-date, and <br /> • ensures the store is in compliance with fluorescent lamp recycling policies <br /> and procedures. <br /> Fluorescent Lamp Recycling <br /> Handling Broken Lamps <br /> • Sweep up the debris with a small broom. <br /> • Place the debris in an empty, air tight container such as a metal can or <br /> plastic bucket with tight lid. <br /> • Write the following on the outside of the container (using a dark marker): <br /> • Accidentally Broken Mercury Lamps. <br /> • the date the broken lamp was placed in the container. <br /> • Place the container beside your used oil tank. <br /> • Report the broken fluorescent lamp to the Maintenance Resolution Center, <br /> 1-700-777-8849. The Resolution Center notifies Sylvania to pick up the <br /> broken bulb. <br /> Fluorescent Lamp Recycling <br />
