Since it cannot be determined how long the 2-55 gallon drums of used absorbent have been on site, immediately contact a licensed hazardous waste hauler to dispose of this waste under manifest and submit a copy of the manifest to the EHD by March 13, 2011. 23. 1-55 gallon drum of drained used oil filters was seen labeled as used absorbent. Used oil filters must be stored in a closed, rainproof container, labeled as"drained used oil filters,"and marked with an accumulation start date. Immediately recycle these filters under a bill of lading and submit a copy of the bill of lading to the EHD by March 13, 2011. 60 &62. Manifest numbers 001078105SKS and 000283832SKS were found without a signed off copy from the destination facility. Hazardous waste generators must maintain copies of TSDF-signed manifests for 3 years and have them readily available for review. The generator of >1000kg/mo, who does not receive a copy of the manifest with the handwritten signature of the owner or operator of the facility within 35 days of the date the waste was accepted by the initial transporter shall contact the transporter and/or the owner or operator of the facility to determine the status of the waste. If the generator did not receive a copy of the manifest with the handwritten signature of the owner or operator of the facility to which the generator's waste was submitted within 60 days(45 days for generators >1000 kg/mo)from the date that the hazardous waste was accepted by the initial transporter, the generator shall submit an Exception Report that includes a legible copy of the missing manifest, and a cover letter signed by the generator explaining the efforts to locate the hazardous waste and the results of those efforts. Exception reports shall be submitted to: DTSC Report Repository Generator Information Services Section P.O. Box 806 Sacramento, CA 95812-0806 Immediately locate a copy of the missing manifests or prepare and submit an exception report to DTSC. By March 13, 2011, submit a copy of the signed off copy of the manifest(s)or a copy of the exception report submitted to DTSC. ALL EHD STAFF TIME ASSOCIATED WITH FAILING TO COMPLY BY THE ABOVE NOTED DATES WILL BE BILLED AT THE CURRENT HOURLY RATE($122).
