Fluorescent Lamp Recycling <br /> In this chapter, you'll learn about: <br /> • Fluorescent lamp recycling. <br /> Fluorescent amp Recycling <br /> California regul tions require all lamps and tubes containing mercury must <br /> be recycled or t ken to a hazardous waste disposal facility. <br /> Definition: A fluorescent / HID bulb includes: <br /> • fluorescent tbes and compact fluorescent lamps, <br /> • metal halide neon, sodium vapor, and mercury vapor lamps, <br /> • high intensity discharge lamps, and <br /> • high pressur sodium lamps. <br /> Maintenance echnician Training <br /> Field Maintenan e AutoZoners in California are required to complete <br /> California Envir nmental Training annually to include used fluorescent and <br /> HID lamp dispo al and broken lamp handling. <br /> Fluorescent Lamp Recycling <br /> Fluorescent Lamp Replacement <br /> Only Sylv�nia Lighting System, or their respective agent, may remove or <br /> replace burned out or damaged fluorescent and HID lamps. Sylvania Lighting <br /> System manages and transports for recycling all used fluorescent lamps for <br /> AutoZone. Burned out or damaged fluorescent and HID lamps may not be <br /> disposed of in the trash. AutoZoners are prohibited from removing or <br /> replacing burned out or damaged fluorescent and HID lamps. <br /> Note: Sylvania Lighting System manages and transports for recycling all <br /> used fluorescent lamps for AutoZone. Sylvania Lighting System visits each <br /> AutoZone store nce every 90 days to replace burned out or damaged <br /> fluorescent and HID lamps. <br /> Record Keeping <br /> Used / Damaged fluorescent lamp manifests / bills of lading must be kept in <br /> a binder labeled Jsed / Damaged Fluorescent and HID Lamp Manifests for at <br />
