Violations that are classified as"MAJOR"pose an immediate threat to public health <br /> and must be corrected immediately or be subject to closure pursuant to California Code of Regulations(Title 22)section 65545. <br /> #10 Disinfectant Residual <br /> OBSERVATIONS:The free chlorine concentration is 15.2 ppm which is above the allowed limit for free chlorine in a public <br /> pool. The operator must maintain a chlorine concentration of 2.0- 10.0 ppm with cyanuric acid. Fix today. <br /> CALCODE DESCRIPTION:Public pools, when open or in use,shall be disinfected continuously by approved chemicals and shall maintain <br /> the following concentrations: 1.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free chlorine without cyanuric acid, 2.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free chlorine with cyanuric acid <br /> or 2.0 ppm bromine. Spas, wading pools,and spray grounds shall maintain the following concentrations:3.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free <br /> chlorine or 4.0 ppm bromine. (CCR 65529) <br /> #12 pH Level <br /> OBSERVATIONS:The pH of the pool was measured at 7.0.This is below the acceptable range for pH levels.
