Small Quantity Hazardous Waste Generator Corrective Action Statement <br /> Inspection date:November 27, 2018 <br /> Response date: December 21,2018 <br /> Franzia Winery <br /> 17000 E. Hwy 120 <br /> Ripon,CA 95366 <br /> Item#406 <br /> CCR 66261.7 Contaminated container not marked with date emptied or managed within one year of being <br /> emptied. A black metal 15 gallon empty container was observed in the hazardous waste area with an <br /> empty date of October 7, 2016. <br /> Investigation: Upon investigating, it was found that this container was empty and that it had never been <br /> used to store any hazardous materials. The emptied date was removed and the container was properly <br /> disposed. <br /> Corrective Action: Laminated labeling instructions have been placed in all areas that collect Hazardous <br /> Materials as a reminder for proper labelling. Facility Maintenance Team and Hazardous Material <br /> Coordinator have been retrained on proper labeling requirements. Training Sign-Off Attached. <br /> Item 605 <br /> CCR 66262.34(fl Failed to completely label containers or portable tanks of hazardous waste. <br /> Investigation: Three of the identified drums were missing the hazardous property on the label. These <br /> labels were corrected immediately. One drum of hazardous waste had a label, but it was not legible due <br /> to sun fading. This drum was relabeled and has since been properly disposed. Manifest attached. <br /> Corrective Action: Laminated labeling instructions have been placed in all areas that collect Hazardous <br /> Materials as a reminder for proper labelling.
