Hazelton Avenue
q Stockton. CA 95295
Re: Follow up on Return to Compliance
O
L
O Dear Mr. Alaniz,
Thank you for your help in regards to Alco closing out the open violations with
San Joaquin Environmental Health Department. Please see below and attached for the
responses as requested.
Violation 102: The Dark Solids observed in Stacy Rivera's inspection in 2015 were oil
and grease accumulations from the copper wire stripping activities. These dark solids
were immediately cleaned up and disposed of as hazardous waste (oily solids). The
pictures attached in our previous return to compliance documents showed the area
cleaned up, and I am now confirming those"dark solids"were disposed of has hazardous
waste. I believe these were disposed of in our 9/27/15 load of material picked up by
Safety Kleen and brought to Clean Harbors. (Manifest#005064336 SKS).
Violation 104: See Attached for Completed Contingency Plan. This plan has also been
uploaded to CERS.
Violation 110/113: See attached for Manifest Records from 2013 and 2014.
Violation 605: All Hazardous Waste Labels have been reviewed and updatcd to contain
correct information. See attached for present example.
Thank you once again for your help in closing these violations out and if you have any
further questions please let me know.
Sincerely,
Alco Iron & Metal Co
Michael Bercovich
Chief Operating Officer
www.alcometals.com
