Hazardous waste cannot be transported to a facility for <br /> disposal that does not have proper permitting. Immediately cease this method of disposal and mange the waste <br /> properly according to Title 22 hazardous waste regulations. <br /> During the inspection,the owner stated that he would stop this method of disposal and take the waste to the county <br /> business hazardous waste facility. <br /> This was corrected on site. <br /> This is a Class II violation. <br /> 303 CCR 66262.34(d)(2) Failed to maintain all communication or alarm systems, spill control, or decontamination <br /> equipment. <br /> Used oil was observed in the secondary containment for used oil drums(1/8 full). <br /> Used oil was observed in another secondary containment for used oil drums(1/8 full). <br /> All facility communications or alarm systems,fire protection equipment, spill control equipment, and <br /> decontamination equipment,where required, shall be tested and maintained as necessary to assure its proper <br /> operation in time of emergency. Immediately cleanup the secondary containment and begin this practice. <br /> This is a Class II violation. <br /> 406 CCR 66261.7 Contaminated container not marked with date emptied or managed within one year of being emptied. <br /> In the hazardous waste storage area, one black 55 gallon steel drum was observed without an empty date. <br /> In the yard area,three black 55 gallon steel drums and one 30 gallon steel drum were observed without an empty <br /> date. <br /> Containers larger than five gallons that previously held a hazardous material shall be marked with the date they <br /> were emptied and managed within one year of being emptied.
