The following is an itemized list of hazardous waste violations that have not been addressed for MAIN STREET GARAGE as of December 19 , 2018 . Open violations from November 07 , 2018 inspection Violation #102 - Failed to determine if a waste is a hazardous waste. A brake grinding machine was observed with the collection tray half full of brake shavings . The brake shavings are currently being recycled as scrap metal . Any person who generates a waste shall determine if the waste is a hazardous waste . Immediately make a hazardous waste determination for the brake shavings , and manage it according the Title 22 hazardous waste regulations . Submit a statement and supporting documentation explaining how this waste was managed . Violation #104 - No modified contingency plan . An emergency coordinator and modified contingency plan information is lacking . There must be at least one emergency coordinator on site or on call to coordinate emergency response measures , and the following information must be posted by a phone : the name and phone number of the emergency coordinator; location of fire extinguishers , spill control equipment, and if present, fire alarm ; and the phone number of the fire department, unless the facility has a direct alarm . Immediately appoint an emergency coordinator and post the required information by a phone . A form is provided that can be used for this purpose . Violation #119 - Failed to report program data in the California Environmental Reporting System ( CERS ) . A submission to the California Electronic Reporting System (CERS) for the hazardous waste program has not been made. Beginning January 1 , 2013 , all businesses are required to submit all new (or any changes to existing ) hazardous waste information online to the CERS at http : //cers. calepa . ca , gov . Be sure to include your hazardous waste activity in the Businesses Activities section in CERS in addition to any other relevant activities and required fields . Violation #403 - Failed to keep hazardous waste containers closed except when adding or removing hazardous waste . One black metal 55 gallon container of oily solids was observed behind the building without the lid secured onto the drum. All hazardous waste containers shall be closed at all times except when adding or removing waste . Immediately close these containers and ensure all hazardous waste containers are closed when not adding or removing waste . Violation #605 - Failed to completely label containers or portable tanks of hazardous waste. -One white plastic 55 gallon drum of used antifreeze was observed behind the building with a label that was too faded to be read . -One black metal 55 gallon drum of used oil was observed behind the building without the words " Hazardous Waste" , accumulation start date , hazardous properties , physical state and generator name and address on the label . All hazardous waste containers shall be marked with the following information : - the words " Hazardous Waste" - name and address of generator - hazardous properties - physical state - composition (contents) - accumulation start date Immediately label these containers and ensure that all hazardous waste containers are marked with all the required information . Violation #608 - Failed to properly manage used oil and fuel filters . One black metal drum of drained used oil filters was observed behind the shop with a lid that was not secured . Used oil filters shall be drained of free-flowing oil , stored in a closed , rainproof container, labeled as " drained used oil filters , " and marked with an accumulation start date .
