Marking—At a minimum,each RCRA regulated Hazardous waste container of 110 gallons or less must be marked in accordance with 49 CFR 172.304,with the following words: 8.6.4.3.1 HAZARDOUS WASTE- Federal Law Prohibits Improper Disposal. If found,contact the nearest public safety authority or the Environmental Protection Agency; 8.6.4.3.2 Generator name and address; 8.6.4.3.3 Labeled with words that identify the contents of each container;and 8.6.4.3.4 Manifest Document Number. 8.6.4.4. Placarding—Each vehicle used to transport hazardous materials will be placarded by the transporter with the proper DOT placards. 8.7. Off-Site Shipment Procedures 8.7.1. C&S procedure requires that an off-site waste shipment for RCRA- regulated and State-regulated waste containers be schedule to occur within every 90 day period. 8.7.2. Containers of RCRA regulated Hazardous Waste, State regulated Waste,and Universal Waste,for which the requirements detailed in Sections 8.1 through 8.6 above have not been met,will not be offered for transportation off-site until such time as the regulatory requirements can be met. 8.7.3. Security will notify the appropriate department which has scheduled a waste shipment of the arrival of the waste transporter. 8.7.3.1. If the facility does not have a secured gate,the waste transporter will contact the requesting entity upon their arrival. 8.7.4. A C&S associate will be present with the waste transporter during the entire loading process. 8.7.5. Shipping document requirements include: 8.7.5.1. Documents are complete and legible; 8.7.5.2.
