Multiple containers described in the violation <br /> 403 were open and unlabeled. Hazardous waste container storage and transfer areas shall be inspected weekly for <br /> leaking containers and for deterioration of containers and the containment system caused by corrosion and other <br /> factors. Immediately begin conducting the necessary weekly inspections for all hazardous waste containers at this <br /> facility. <br /> This is a minor violation. tjVtV wa a-cexec L Meer" <br /> 601 CCR 66262.34(d) Stored hazardous waste onsite greater than 180 days. <br /> Twelve 55-gallon unlabeled containers of oily water were observed in the yard area, also the following open and <br /> unlabeled hazardous waste containers were observed onsite at the time of inspection:eight 5-gallon containers with <br /> oily liquids and paint like waste were noted in the yard area (were covered with tarp), one open and unlabeled <br /> container of oily rags and a drain cup full of oil were noted inside another 5-gallon container stored along with waste <br /> (outdated) paints and mastics (covered with tarp) inside the yard area, two open 55-gallon container of hardened <br /> roof asphalt and rain water mixture were noted in the yard area,3 blue 55-gallon container with rain water and <br /> roofing asphalt mixture were observed(under tarp) in the front yard area. Facilities who generate less than 1000 kg <br /> of hazardous waste per month and do not exceed 6000 kg of waste stored on site at any time may store waste on <br /> site up to 180 days. Immediately contact a licensed hazardous waste hauler to dispose of this waste under manifest <br /> and submit a copy of the manifest to the EHD.
