Frank Girardi [EH]
From: Solid Waste Operations [swoperations@co.san-joaquin.ca.us]
Sent: Thursday, June 16, 2005 8:02 AM
To: Bob Blanco
Cc: Annette Borges; Michael Carroll; Frank Girardi [EH]
Subject: CORRAL HOLLOW LANDFILL- LEA INSPECTION REPORT DATED JUNE 14, 2005
Bob,
Frank Girardi inspected the Corral Hollow Landfill this past Tuesday, June 14th. He noted the following:
1. Remove pallets adjacent to Groundwater Monitoring Well#2.
2. During the hot/dry season, cut back tall weeds/grass within areas of drive paths throughout the site to
prevent fire hazards from vehicles.
Would you please make arrangements to remove the noted pallets and cut the weeds/grass throughout the site
along the drive paths? If possible, this should be done within the next 2—3 weeks. If it's more cost efficient to
have a Sheriff Inmate Crew (they charge us$275/day) cut the weeds/grass in comparison with our labor cost,
please make arrangements with them to do it and please let me know if you use them.
If you have any questions, please let me know.
Thank you.
Jaime L. Perez
Solid Waste Operations Manager
County of San Joaquin
Department of Public Works -Solid Waste Division
Phone: 209.468.3066
Fax:209.468.3078
6/22/2005
