Brandt Road <br /> Clements, CA 95277 <br /> Assessor's Parcel.Number: 023-180-030-000 & 023-180-020-000 <br /> Parcel Size: 330 acres& 490 acres <br /> Project Size: 30 acres <br /> Zoning: AG-80 (General Agriculture) <br /> Proposed Use: Agricultural Wastes; Organic Materials Composting Operation <br /> 9-115.345 The Agricultural Wastes use type refers to the storage, stockpiling, sacking.and sale or waste <br /> products and by-products front plant crops and animals, and organic materials, including composting <br /> operations. but excludes tallow rendering and similar uses requiring additional processing. Typical uses <br /> include establishments selling chicken manure, cattle manure, compost from urban yard recuse, or <br /> removed grapevines. <br /> PROJECT OVERVIEW <br /> The proposed Clements Compost project is a composting facility that will receive and process <br /> agricultural wastes as defined in the County Municipal Code 9-115.345.This includes wood waste, <br /> plant crop residue, urban green waste, and up to ten percent (10%) by weight food waste. <br /> Foodwaste will be co-collected with greenwaste as more cities are allowing residents and <br /> businesses (e.g., multifamily) to throw their foodaste into their greenwaste collection cart. This <br /> would be a mixture of vegetative and non-vegetative co-collected with greenwaste. The facility <br /> will compost up to 200 tons of organic materials per day through primary and secondary <br /> composting methods. Compost and soil amendment products will be used on-site or marketed to <br /> customers in the vicinity. Product bunkers may be on-site for direct to consumer sales. The <br /> composting methods and on-site equipment will comply with applicable requirements from the <br /> local Air District, San Joaquin Valley Air Pollution Control District. To manage the operation, <br /> material handling equipment for transport,processing,grinding,and screening will also be on-site. <br /> PROPERTY DESCRIPTION <br /> The 330-acre and 490-acre parcels located at 24376 E. Brandt Road in Clements, CA are currently <br /> vacant, with a portion used for cattle grazing. Figure 1, Vicinity Map, shows the location of the <br /> facility. <br /> This site is zoned AG-80 (General Agriculture) and is situated within compatible land uses, a <br /> poultry farm, aggregate mine, and vacant agricultural land. See Figure 2, Radius Map (1,000 ft. <br /> radius). There are no parcels zoned residential in the adiacent vicinity. <br /> 1 of 2 <br />
