Scott & Sons Company (Scotts), is <br /> transmitting responses to the San Joaquin County, Environmental Health Division's (EHD) <br /> second set of comments regarding the Report of Composting Site Information (RCSI) for <br /> the proposed facility in Linden. WESTON and Scotts developed these responses based on <br /> our understanding of the comments and discussions with the EHD staff. <br /> As previously transmitted for the first set of comments, WESTON has attached a summary <br /> table of the comments and responses, and revised pages to the RCSI. A new section, <br /> Section 9 - Compliance Monitoring, has been added and summarizes the monitoring and <br /> testing which will be conducted for the Facility. <br /> As agreed upon through discussions with EHD, the solid waste permit should reflect a peak <br /> daily tonnage of 500 and not exceed an accumulated annual tonnage of 75,000. The permit <br /> should also reflect a revised Facility size of 22 acres. Sheet 3 of the Facility drawings was <br /> updated and previously submitted to EHD to show the two-acre area added for final <br /> storage. <br /> If you have any questions regarding the responses, please contact the undersigned at (818) <br /> 596-6900.
