The following is an itemized list of hazardous waste violations that have not been <br /> addressed for BRANNON TIRE- CLAREMONT as of October 07, 2015. <br /> Open violations from August 12, 2015 inspection <br /> Violation #501 -Failed to comply with new hazardous waste tank system assessment requirements. <br /> Facility does not have an Updated tank assessment for the 180 gallon waste oil tank. The owner or operator of a <br /> hazardous waste tank shall obtain a written assessment reviewed and certified by an independent, qualified, <br /> professional engineer, reg stered in California attesting that the system has sufficient structural integrity, is acceptabl. <br /> for the transferring, storing, and treating of hazardous waste, and that the tanks and containment system are suitably <br /> designed. Immediately have a Certified Professional Engineer re certify the 180 gallon waste oil tank. Submit a <br /> schedule showing when this will be accomplished to the EHD. <br /> Violation #601 -Stored h 3zardous waste on site longer than 90 days without a permit or authorization. <br /> Hazardous waste stored o i site longer than 90 days: <br /> -A black 40 gallon drum o metal brake shavings on the west side had a start accumulation date of October 17, 201( <br /> -A black 55 gallon drum o oily solid on the south east side had a start accumulation date of January 10, 2013. <br /> Facilities who generate more than 1000 kg of hazardous waste per month may store waste on site up to 90 days. <br /> Immediately contact a licensed hazardous waste hauler to dispose of this waste under manifest and submit a copy o <br /> the manifest to the EHD. <br /> Violation#605 -Failed to completely label containers or tanks of hazardous waste. <br /> Containers of hazardous aste not properly labeled: <br /> -A black 40 gallon drum o metal brake shavings on the west side did not have a hazardous property labeled. <br /> -A black 55 gallon drum o oily solid waste on the south east side did not have a hazardous property labeled. <br /> -A white 55 gallon drum o metal brake shavings on the south east side only had the contents labeled on the drum. <br /> All hazardous waste containers shall be marked with the following information: <br /> -the words"Hazardous Waste" <br /> -name and address of generator <br /> -hazardous properties <br /> -physical state <br /> -composition (contents) <br /> -accumulation start da e <br /> Immediately label these cc ntainers and ensure that all containers are marked with all the required information. Since <br /> these containers have bee n on site longer than 90 days, and it cannot be determined how long the white 55 gallon <br /> drum of brake shavings he s been on site, immediately contact a licensed hazardous waste hauler to dispose of this <br /> waste under manifest and submit a copy of the manifest to the EHD. <br /> Page 1 of 1 <br />
