The owner or operator of a <br /> hazardous waste tank sha I obtain a written assessment reviewed and certified by an independent, qualified, <br /> professional engineer, registered in California attesting that the system has sufficient structural integrity, is acceptable <br /> for the transferring, storing and treating of hazardous waste, and that the tanks and containment system are suitably <br /> designed. Immediately have a Certified Professional Engineer re certify the 180 gallon waste oil tank. Submit a <br /> schedule showing when th s will be accomplished to the EHD. <br /> This is a Class I violation. <br /> 601 CCR 66262.34(a) Stored zardous waste on site longer than 90 days without a permit or authorization. <br /> Hazardous waste stored o site longer than 90 days: <br /> -A black 40 gallon drum of metal brake shavings on the west side had a start accumulation date of October 17, 2010. <br /> -A black 55 gallon drum of oily solid on the south east side had a start accumulation date of January 10, 2013. <br /> Facilities who generate mo e than 1000 kg of hazardous waste per month may store waste on site up to 90 days. <br /> Immediately contact a licer sed hazardous waste hauler to dispose of this waste under manifest and submit a copy of <br /> the manifest to the EHD. <br /> This is a Class II violation. <br /> 605 CCR 66262.34(f) Failed to completely label containers or tanks of hazardous waste. <br /> Containers of hazardous w ste not properly labeled: <br /> -A black 40 gallon drum of metal brake shavings on the west side did not have a hazardous property labeled. <br /> -A black 55 gallon drum of oily solid waste on the south east side did not have a hazardous property labeled. <br /> -A white 55 gallon drum of metal brake shavings on the south east side only had the contents labeled on the drum. <br /> All hazardous waste containers shall be marked with the following information: <br /> -the words ,Hazardous�Naste" <br /> - name and address of 'enerator <br /> - hazardous properties <br /> - physical state <br /> -composition (contents) <br /> - accumulation start dat <br /> Immediately label these co tainers and ensure that all containers are marked with all the required information.
