RESPONSIBILITY <br /> Project management and front line supervision are responsible for implementation, enforcement and <br /> supporting this policy to assure compliance by all employees. <br /> PROJECT MANAGERS/SUPERINTENDENTS/SUPERVISORS <br /> 1. Responsible to plan in advance the methods,material and equipment needed for compliance. <br /> 2. Authorize necessary action to correct unsafe acts and/or substandard safety conditions reported or <br /> observed. <br /> 3. Establish training programs to acquaint the worker with fall preventative measures and fall protection <br /> procedures. <br /> SUPERINTENDENTS/SUPERVISORS I <br /> 1. Detennine the fall prevention/protection equipment and/or materials needed by employees working in <br /> locations above 6 feet (Federal), (10 feet for Washington State and 7 % feet for California) and assure <br /> that said equipment and/or material is available prior to work. <br /> 2. Advise Project Manager regarding safety on the job as requested. <br /> 3. Ensure that the Fall Protection policy is explained to each employee and subcontractor before they start <br /> work and a means is provided for their active participation in our program. <br /> 4. Make daily safety inspections of project and direct employees or subcontractors to take necessary <br /> corrective action to eliminate non-compliance with this program. <br /> SUBCONTRACTOR <br /> 1. Each contractor is responsible for the safety of their personnel and shall provide and execute all work in <br /> compliance with this policy. <br /> PROJECT FOREMEN/SUPERVISORS <br /> 1, instruct employees in safe work practices and methods at the time the employee is given work <br /> assignments and providing verification of understanding by each employee. <br /> 2. Seeing that employees have and use the proper fall protective equipment and tools for the job. <br /> 3.
