EMERGENCY EVACUATION <br /> i <br /> If the employees are advised to evacuate, the Safety Director will instruct them to shut down all <br /> computers and electrical equipment within their immediate work area. If time permits, precious <br /> metals, sensitive tools, instruments, original drawings and blueprints, and vital records should he <br /> placed in locked storage. <br /> The receptionist shall take any employee log and guest logs to the evacuation assembly point. All <br /> employees shall proceed with emergency evacuation procedures. <br /> The Safety Director will ensure that all electrical and gas mains are shutoff prior to vacating the <br /> premises. <br /> a) Diagrams to show where to turn off the utilities shall be posted with the emergency evacuation <br /> procedures. <br /> b) All employees must remain within the evacuation area until instructed "to leave or return to <br /> their work place." <br /> c) All employees shall cooperate with the police, emergency bomb squads, or 1F1BI at all times. <br /> Instructions from individuals within these agencies talce precedence over these policies and <br /> procedures. <br /> d) The Safety Director will ensure that all non-English-speaking employees understand warning <br /> signals and know where and how to evacuate the workplace. <br /> I <br />
