1 <br /> EE: <br /> CODE OF SAFE PRACTICES <br /> S � <br /> COMPRESSOR <br /> JOB SUMMARY: Compresses air. <br /> JOB HAZARDS: Compressed air. <br /> SAFETY <br /> EQUIPMENT <br /> REQUIRED: Safety glasses.•Earplugs when applicable. <br /> SAFE CONDITIONS: <br /> I <br /> Employees shall be properly instructed on the hazards of their work and of safe practices by <br /> bulletins,printed miles,verbal instructions and periodic safety meetings. <br /> SAFE PRACTICES <br /> 1. Compressors on wheels must be prevented from rolling. <br /> 2. Safety valves must be popped weekly on portable compressors. <br /> 3. Tank must be drained daily on portable compressors. <br /> f 4. Air tanks require DOSH permit. <br /> 5. Do not exceed P.S.I.levels for compressor or type of work being performed. <br /> 6. Follow all Company safety rules and policies. <br /> 7. Employees must report all unsafe conditions immediately to a Supervisor. <br /> 8. No horseplay is permitted. <br /> 9. Clean worksite conditions must be maintained at all times. <br /> 10. All Personal Protective Equipment(PPE)required by State or Federal Regulation must be worn. � <br /> 11. All equipment guards required by State and Federal Regulations must be in place. <br /> 12. Report all accidents immediately to a Supervisor. <br /> 13. Use Lockout/TagoutBlockout procedures when required by State or Federal Regulation. <br /> 14. Inspect equipment prior to each use. <br /> 15. Only operate equipment that you have been trained and authorized to use. <br /> 16. All electrical wiring shall be to code and maintained in safe condition. <br /> 17. Use proper lifting techniques. <br /> 18. Only qualified personnel can perform maintenance services. <br /> 19. Follow all Manufacturers safety guidelines. <br /> 20. Do not operate equipment under the influence of altering prescription drugs,illegal drugs and/or <br /> alcohol. <br /> 21. Ensure that all Warning,Caution and Danger signs are in place. <br />
