CODE OF SAFE PRACTICES <br /> RIM CLAMP <br /> JOB SUMMARY: Place tires on rims. <br /> SKILLS REQUIRED: General shop skills(see Code of Safe Practices for"SHOP"). <br /> EMOTIONAL <br /> STANDARDS: Detail oriented. <br /> PHYSICAL <br /> STANDARDS: Good eyesight(corrective lens ok). Ability to handle weight of tires. <br /> HAZARDS: Repetitive motions. Forceful motions. Extended elbow. <br /> Working with bent neck. Pinch points, <br /> SAFETY <br /> EQUIPMENT <br /> REQUIRED: Safety glasses. Gloves.. <br /> SAFE CONDITIONS: <br /> Employees shall be properly instructed on the hazards of their work and of safe practices by bulletins, <br /> printed rides,verbal instructions and periodic safety meetings. <br /> SAFE PRACTICES <br /> 1. Review tire and mount to make sure right tire for right rim. Never mix/match. <br /> 2. Release air from tire before breaking beads. <br /> 3. Always lube beads with approved tire lubricant before mounting or sealing. <br /> 4. Keep area clear of bystanders. <br /> 5. Do not use short blast of air when mounting. <br /> 6. Do not exceed manufacturer suggested P.S.I. <br /> 7. Keep hands and body away from machine. <br /> 8. Follow all Company safety rules and policies. <br /> 9. Employees must report all unsafe conditions immediately to a Supervisor. <br /> 10. No horseplay is permitted. <br /> 11. Clean worksite conditions must be maintained at all times. <br /> 12. All Personal Protective Equipment(PPE)required by State or Federal Regulation must be worn. <br /> 13. All equipment guards required by State and Federal Regulations must be in place. <br /> 14. Report all accidents immediately to a Supervisor. <br /> 15. Use Lockout/Tagout/Blockout procedures when required by State or Federal Regulation. <br /> 16. Inspect equipment prior to each use. <br /> 17. Only operate equipment that you have been trained and authorized to use. <br /> 18. All electrical wiring sliall be to code and maintained in safe condition. <br /> 19. Use proper lifting techniques. <br /> 20. Only qualified personnel can perform maintenance services. <br /> zi. Follow all Manufacturers safety guidelines. <br /> 22. Do not operate equipment under the influence of altering prescription drugs,illegal drugs and/or <br /> alcohol. <br /> 23. Ensure that all Warning, Caution and Danger signs are in place. <br />
