Violations that are classified as"MAJOR"pose an immediate threat to public health <br /> and have the potential to cause foodborne illness.All major violations must be corrected immediately.Non-compliance may warrant immediate closure of <br /> the food facility. <br /> #23 Rodents, Insects or Animals Inside Facility <br /> OBSERVATIONS:While inspecting the retail area,weevils were observed inside and around individuals bags of corn.The <br /> bags of corn were discarded and I advised for the staff to remove all items on the shelf, evaluate the items and sanitize the <br /> shelves before items are placed back. Continue to monitor for weevil activity and implement and form of pest control. <br /> Observed rodent droppings along the far edge of the retail area. The droppings appear dry and only in certain areas of the <br /> edge. Remove and sanitize area, continue to implement pest control. <br /> CALCODE DESCRIPTION:Each food facility shall be kept free of vermin:rodents(rats,mice), cockroaches,flies.(114259.1, 114259.4, <br /> 114259.5) <br /> #27 Food Protected from Contamination <br /> OBSERVATIONS:Observed food items stored in the walk in cooler that are lacking lids or covers. Provide covering for all <br /> food items that are stored away. Correct today. <br /> CALCODE DESCRIPTION:All food shall be separated and protected from contamination. Remove and only use food-grade pest <br /> control in food preparation areas and store all toxic material away from food items. Correct immediately. <br /> CALCODE DESCRIPTION:All poisonous substances, detergents,bleaches, and cleaning compounds shall be stored separate from food, <br /> utensils,packing material and food-contact surfaces.
