Mr. Padilla
8 . Describe the location and type of monitoring wells
which have been determined necessary to ascertain
groundwater quality.
a) Indicate the monitoring frequency and disposition
of the results.
b) The plot plan or a map may be used to show the
location of monitoring wells.
9. If known, describe the uses of the site after
termination of the composting operation, including the
time frame for implementation of such use.
Additional Comments
- On January 8, 1991 Board staff conducted an inspection of
the subject site. Violations of the State Minimum Standards
were identified. All outstanding violations must be
resolved prior to staff recommending Board concurrence in a
SWFP.
The five year permit review application does not list
composting as an proposed activity.
Please be sure the site operator submits an application for
permit revision to you before preparing and submitting the
permit to our office.
Please note that due to the limited information provided on the
composting operation at the subject site, staff was unable to
determine whether a separate permit will be required. Additional
review will be needed to incorporate necessary changes and
determine whether a separate permit is appropriate.
Thank you for the opportunity to comment.
