As discussed, please re-watch our CA Hazardous Waste training video with your Assistant Managers. You should be able to assign this video to yourself and your assistant managers and view as a group. Please review this training as soon as possible so we will have up-to-date training records for members of management who are currently at the store (Stacy Farquhar, Carol Arredondo, and Cynthia Lopez). If you or your assistance have questions after review, please contact me so I can answer any lingering issues. On page 11 of the California Hazardous Waste Policy you’ll find guidance on how to classify hazardous waste. The threebottlesofMatteVarnish (SKU #1825439) should be classified as Toxic waste. Additionally, should you have returned or unsellable acrylic,latex, or other liquidpaints, please classify these as Toxic wastes. During your inspection there was a 4oz bottle of GelRite Hand Sanitizer that had expired in September 2020. Should any additional hand sanitizer expire and be left unused, please place in the flammablewaste container. As a best practice, we should use the hand sanitizer prior to the hand sanitizer expiring. Always review the SDS prior to making a waste classification and determination.
