The facility has generated 2267.96 kilograms of RCRA <br /> hazardous waste in 2019. <br /> REGULATION GUIDANCE: A hazardous waste generator shall not treat, store, dispose of,transport or offer for <br /> transportation, hazardous waste without having received an Environmental Protection Agency(EPA) Identification <br /> (ID) Number.A Federal EPA ID number is required for generators of more than 100 kg of RCRA hazardous waste <br /> per month and/or more than one kg of acutely hazardous waste per month. ID numbers are unique to a business <br /> and site location. <br /> CORRECTIVE ACTION: Go to the DTSC web site at https://dtsc.ca.gov/apply-for-hazardous-waste-epa-id-number/ <br /> to obtain a Federal EPA ID number. Immediately apply for your ID number and submit evidence to the San <br /> Joaquin County Environmental Health Department within 30 days. <br /> This is a repeat violation, Class II. <br /> 104 CCR 66262.34(d)(2)No modified contingency plan. <br /> OBSERVATION: A complete modified contingency plan was not posted at the facility. <br /> REGULATION GUIDANCE: The business operator must post the following information next to telephones or in <br /> areas directly involved in the generation and accumulation of hazardous waste: the name and emergency <br /> telephone number of the emergency coordinator, the location of fire extinguishers and spill control material, and the <br /> telephone number of the fire department unless the facility has a direct alarm. <br /> CORRECTIVE ACTION: The violation was corrected during the inspection by filling out a modified contingency <br /> plan. No further action is required to correct this violation. <br /> This is a repeat violation, Class II. <br /> 403 CCR 66262.34(d)(2) Failed to keep hazardous waste containers closed except when adding or removing hazardous <br /> waste. <br /> OBSERVATION: The following open hazardous waste storage containers were observed on-site: <br /> -One black metal 55 gallon drum of waste paint was observed in the shop without a lid. <br /> REGULATION GUIDANCE:A container holding hazardous waste shall always be closed during transfer and <br /> storage, except when it is necessary to add or remove waste. <br /> CORRECTIVE ACTION: The violation was corrected during the inspection by putting a lid on the drum.
