COMPLAINANT REPORTS AN UPSET STOMACH AND NAUSEA. <br /> VIOLATIONS AND CORRECTIVE ACTIONS <br /> Items listed on this report as violations do not meet the requirements set forth in the California Health and Safety Code commencing with section 7; <br /> 113700.All violations must be corrected within specified timeframe. Complainant states that the hot mocha drinks were unavailable for <br /> a period of time at the location.When the complainant ordered one, she was offered a Frappe as a replacement. <br /> Upon arrival to the facility, the restaurant Manager is not aware of the complaint. Per Manager, she does not recall receiving <br /> any complaints that are similar in nature. Per Manager,the McCafe machine has not been out of commission during the time <br /> frame of April to October, 2020. <br /> Per Manager, the recipe or method of preparation for the hot mochas has not changed. I requested that a hot mot mocha be <br /> prepared. Manager prepared a small hot mocha. The milk and cans of whipped cream is stored in the 1-door Bev Air reach-in <br /> under the espresso/McCafe machine.A designated number of pumps of McCafe chocolate syrup are pumped into the cup. <br /> The McCafe touch screen is activated based on the order being inputted (a small hot mocha this date).The machine grinds <br /> the whole espresso beans,warms up the milk and dispenses the mixture of milk and ground espresso/water into the cup. <br /> The mixture is stirred by the employee a designated number of times to incorporate the syrup and liquid mixture until the <br /> machine stops dispensing.The hot mocha has whipped cream added on top (Dairy Star whipped cream in a standard <br /> whipped cream can)and then McCafe chocolate sauce drizzled on top. <br /> Milk and whipped cream are stored under refrigeration (all at 41 F or below this date).
