The borings were pre-saturated with 12" of water approximately 24 hrs prior to testing. On August
28, 2020, percolation testing commenced. An electronic water level meter was used to measure the j
water drop every 30 minutes over the four-hour test period. The last half hour of testing was
witnessed by Naseem Ahmed, REHS, EHD sanitarian.
i
RESULTS AND DISCUSSION
Soil samples to analyze the subsoil characteristics were retrieved from the auger cuttings for
classification purposes. The following Log of Boring using the Unified Soil Classification
System(U.S.C.S.) details the soil characteristics found at the corresponding depths. As noted, the
10 ft to 21 ft depth has exceptionally permeable soil.
0.0' - 3.0' Silty Clay(SM-CL)
3.0' - 4.0' Lean Clay(CL)
4.0' - 6.0' Silty Clay(SM-CL)
6.0' - 8.0' Lt.
