SAN 1 O A Q U I N Environmental Health Department <br /> COUNTY <br /> 6 . The UST system must be installed in compliance with all of the following : <br /> a . The installed UST system must be compliant with all applicable laws , regulations , and industry <br /> standards . All installation and testing shall be in compliance with manufacturer' s instructions and <br /> CCR 2635 and 2636 . All monitoring system components shall be listed in the State Water <br /> Resources Control Board ' s Local Guidance Letter ( LG ) 113 . <br /> b . All primary containment including any integral secondary containment system must be certified by <br /> an independent testing organization and labeled as required by the organization ( California Code <br /> of Regulations Title 23 Chapter 16 (CCR ) 2631 ( b) ; UL , ULC , ANSI , API , ASTM , etc . See CCR <br /> Table B for complete list. ) . Pursuant to Underwriters Laboratories Inc . ( UL) listing requirements , <br /> only those products bearing the UL mark will be considered listed . ANY PART/PRODUCT NOT <br /> MARKED. WITH THE UL LABEL OR ANOTHER LISTED TESTING ORGANIZATION WILL BE <br /> REJECTED . All secondary containment system which is not an integral part of the primary <br /> containment shall be designed and constructed according to an engineering specification <br /> approved by a state registered professional engineer or according to a nationally recognized <br /> industry code or engineering standard , per CCR 2631 ( d ) . <br /> c . All metal components in direct contact with the ground , such as flexible connectors , swing joints , <br /> fittings , clamps , bands , and pumps , shall have adequate corrosion protection . <br /> d . Install concrete of sufficient thickness over USTs and around sumps and dispensers , according to <br /> the manufacturer' s written installation instructions and buoyancy calculations . <br /> e . All tank top openings that are connected to the primary space of the UST must have secondary <br /> containment, audible/visual alarm , and be vapor tight or terminate at grade . <br /> f. Sumps , including UDCs , must be constructed in a manner to prevent vapors from entering the <br /> backfill . <br /> g . All secondary containment must be constructed to prevent water intrusion and must be <br /> continuously monitored as required under HSC 25290 . 1 . <br /> h . Chase piping must be VPH monitored and included in its respective product piping vacuum <br /> monitoring zone . All vacuum zone volumes must be accurately programmed and their volumes <br /> adequate for their respective vacuum sensors . All sensors must be installed to detect a leak at <br /> the earliest opportunity . <br /> i . Overfill prevention shall satisfy CCR 2635 ( b) (2 ) ( C ) , pursuant to the permit application . No ball <br /> floats shall be installed on vent lines to comply with overfill prevention requirements ( Code of <br /> Federal Regulations , Title 40 , section 280 . 20 ( c) ) <br /> j . Hazardous material or waste cannot be released , intentionally or unintentionally , to the <br /> sewer/septic system , storm water system , or any other waters of the state . If a release occurs , it <br /> will be considered illegal hazardous waste disposal and will be subject to enforcement . <br /> k. No additional shut off valves should be installed between the monitored interstitial spaces <br /> and their respective sensors . <br /> PRIOR TO FIRST FUEL DELIVERY : <br /> 7 . A valid California Department of Tax and Fee Administration ( CDTFA) number must be obtained and <br /> provided to EHD prior to fuel drop . This number must be uploaded into the California Environmental <br /> Reporting System ( CERS ) at https : Hcers . calepa . ca . gov . <br /> 3 of 4 <br />
