Parcels that have public water but which <br /> require a septic system must meet of density requirement of 1 acre per residence. <br /> This is, per the San Joaquin County Onsite Wastewater Treatment Standards <br /> Chapter 3 section 3.1. Per the standard, any parcel that does not meet the density <br /> requirement must have a SSNLS which shows that the area is suitable or additional <br /> septic system and that any impact to groundwater has been mitigated. <br /> The SSNLS must be submitted to the Environmental Health Department (EHD) for <br /> review. There is a fee of $608 for the review along with a completed service <br /> request form. <br /> You had asked about moving on with the submitted plans while the SSNLS is being <br /> conducted. You can request a plan check only to be conducted, a building permit <br /> will not be issued until all EHD requirements are met, along with the requirements <br /> of any other department reviewing the plans. In order to proceed with a plan check <br /> only, submit a letter which covers the following points. <br /> Letter must be submitted by the owner <br /> The letter must state the name of the owner, and should identify the <br /> owner as such. <br /> It should state that a plan check only is being requested <br /> It should state that the owner is aware that the design for the septic may <br />
