SOIL SUITABILITY STUDY <br /> Introduction <br /> Live Oak GeoEnvironmental, Inc. (Live Oak) was contracted by Kevin Phillips of <br /> Hacienda Estates to conduct a Soil Suitability Study for his property located at 9501 <br /> East Jahant Road, Acampo, California (Plate 1). <br /> The formatting of the report has been designed to follow the recommendations of the <br /> San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department as described in its Soil <br /> Suitability Study Requirements Checklist. <br /> The Soil Suitability Study was conducted to determine whether the soils are suitable for <br /> use with a septic system. The study was performed according to the requirements of <br /> Section 9-1105.2(d) of the San Joaquin County Development code. <br /> Proposed Development <br /> Mr. Phillips intends to construct a new home on the Site (Plate 2). <br /> Site Description <br /> The Site is defined as Assessor's Parcel Number (APN) 007-310-31. The parcel is 4.83 <br /> acres in size and is located at 9501 East Jahant Road, Acampo, California. <br /> The Site is currently planted with vineyard; a building pad for the new home is located in <br /> the northwest corner (Plate 3). A domestic well and an irrigation well are located on the <br /> Site; the domestic well is not yet operational. <br /> The elevation of the Site, according to a United States Geological Survey topographic <br /> map, is approximately 87 feet above mean sea level. The Site is relatively flat (Plate 4). <br /> According to the San Joaquin County Community Development Department <br /> (www.co.san-joaquin.ca.us), the Site is zoned AL-5, Limited Agriculture with a minimum <br /> parcel size of five acres. This zoning designation "is intended to recognize and <br /> preserve areas that contain existing concentrations of small-scale agricultural <br /> operations and dwellings." <br /> LOGE 20-27 Page 1 <br />
