CONCLUSIONS AND RECOMMENDATIONS
In summary, the soil conditions examined near the proposed septic system drain field
were found to be suitable for a standard septic system. Satisfactory soil percolation
rate of 35.7 and 11.4 min/in were observed in the shallow and deep soil zones at the
test location. The soils encountered were a mixture of silts, sands, and clays.
The depth of ground water based on recent aquifer levels is approximately 129 to 135
feet below ground surface. According to the maps reviewed, the ground-water flow
beneath the Site is to the southwest at a rate of approximately 7 feet per mile in the
spring, and to the north at a rate of approximately 6 feet per mile in the fall.
The domestic well on the Site is not yet operational; no water sample was collected for
this study.
Septic system construction utilizing leach lines and seepage pits should follow the San
Joaquin County On-Site Wastewater Treatment Systems Standards (2017) where
applicable.
LOGE 20-27 Page 8
