On September 14,
2004, the EHD received a proposed work plan from URS for the installation of additional gas
migration monitoring probes for the World Enterprises Site. The work plan does not address any
remediation regarding methane gas migration at the site. The EHD is still requiring the site
owner to submit a remediation plan by no later than October 22, 2004. If the EHD does not
receive a draft remediation plan for the site, as specified in this letter, further enforcement action
will be taken.
If you have any questions, please contact Ted Tasiopoulos R.E.H.S. at(209) 953-7698.
Robert McClellon, Supervisor R.E.H.S.
Environmental Health Department
CC: John Macanas, CIWMB,MS-20
