In that letter, San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department <br /> (SJCEHD) stated that it was "requiring the site owner to submit a remediation plan by no later than <br /> October 22,2004". <br /> This plan is divided into the following sections: <br /> • Background; <br /> • Nature and Extent of the Problem; <br /> • Regulatory Requirements; <br /> • Removal Action Objectives; <br /> • Alternatives Evaluation; and <br /> • Remediation Plan. <br /> BACKGROUND <br /> The following sections describe the site and history,physical setting, and previous methane <br /> investigations. <br /> Site Description and History <br /> The World Enterprises site(Assessor Parcel Numbers 175-170-18, 175-170-19,and 175-190-01)is <br /> located east of Turnpike Road approximately 500 to 1,200 feet south of the intersection of Turnpike <br /> Road and Downing Avenue in Stockton, California(Figure 1).The site measures approximately 600 <br /> feet by 650 feet(8.9 acres)and lies within an area of mixed residential and rural use.
