6.0 Overview of Facility Oil Storage — 40 CFR 1121(a)(3) Diesel fuel storage at the KRC TRACY PLANT is conducted in a 10,000 GA, pad mounted, STI Fireguard design storage tank (AST) and a 500 GA pad mounted Fireguard design storage tank (AST), with adjacent dispenser. Waste oil from plant equipment servicing is not accumulated, but rather transported off site to corporate facility in non -reportable quantities The stored fuels are used on a regular basis for servicing on -road concrete delivery trucks {Transif Mixers) and yard equipment (Loader). Please reference Table 1, "SUMMARY OF OIL STORAGE" at the plant site. Oil storage locations are illustrated on Figure 2, "SITE PLAN." 6.1 Discharge Management -40 CFR 112.7(x)(3) (9) Discharge Preventi on Procedures (Loading &Unloading) §§(a)(3)(ii) Delivery Truck drivers are subject to Californ ia's Commercial Driver License {CDL) requirements, including hazardous material endorsement, and have documented knowledge of safe handling of these materials. Truck unloading procedures are presented in Appendix F and are consistent with API Recommended Practice 1007. (2) Discharge or Drainage Controls §§(a)(3)(iii) The two double walled, UL2085, steel diesel ASTs have integral secondary containment. Onsite drainage is directed to a system of surface drains, containment pond and sediment trap - Off -site drainage is not common. In the event of excessive precipitation, offsite flow would be to northeastern corner of fenced yard thence to detention pond northeast of facility.
