The amendment would implement the requirements under <br /> California law effective January 1, 2020 to provide standards local jurisdictions can apply to Accessory Dwelling Units <br /> (ADU's) and Junior Accessory Dwelling Units (JADU's). The approval process for ADU's and JADU's is ministerial, which <br /> means that only a building permit and related permits are required. (Supervisorial District: Countywide) <br /> PROEJCT TEXT AMENDMENT: The proposed ordinance to be adopted can be reviewed at www.sigov.org/commdev. <br /> ENVIRONMENTAL DETERMINATION: This project as described is exempt from the California Environmental Quality Act <br /> (CEQA) pursuant to Section 15061(b)(3), and a Notice of Exemption will be filed if the project is approved. <br /> APPLICATION REVIEW: Recommendations and/or comments on this project must be submitted to the Community <br /> Development Department no later than November 23, 2020.
