Hess-Dubois Cleaners - 2 - 26 June 2018
348 West Harding Way
Stockton, San Joaquin County
Central Valley Water Board staff also requests that you prepare a Sensitive Receptor Survey,
identifying private and public water supply wells and surface water bodies within 1,000 feet of
the Site. Central Valley Water Board staff understands that responses to records requests may
be slow and requests that you submit the Sensitive Receptor Survey within 30 days of receipt of
requested records. Please notify Central Valley Water Board staff via email upon receipt of the
requested records.
As previously requested, Site wells MW-2 and MW-7 have been damaged and should be
properly destroyed. Please include a proposal for the destruction of these wells in the Work
Plan due 26 October 2018.
In summary, Central Valley Water Board staff requests the following:
• By 26 October 2018, please submit a Work Plan for assessment of shallow soil across
the Site property between 0 to 5 and 5 to 10 feet bgs that includes analysis of soil
samples for TPHss, heating oil, BTEX, MTBE, and naphthalene, and for PAHs near the
former 350-gallon UST. Please also include a proposal for the destruction of MW-2 and
MW-7.
• By 30 October 2018, please submit a 3 d quarter 2018 GMR, with groundwater analysis
to include heating oil.
• Please notify Central Valley Water Board staff by email upon receipt of requested
sensitive receptor records.
• Within 30 Days of receipt of water supply well records, please submit a Sensitive
Receptor Survey identifying private and public water supply wells and surface water
bodies within 1,000 feet of the Site.
Lastly, once the UST case (#390621) is deemed to be eligible for closure by Central Valley
Water Board LUST staff, the chlorinated solvents case (#SLT5S155) would remain open until
such time that Central Valley Water Board Cleanup Program staff deem it eligible for closure.
If you have any questions or concerns regarding comments in this letter please contact the
undersigned (916) 464-4615 or by email .buehler waterboards.ca. ov.
OFEssioN
Q'
Alan M.
