Community Development Dept.
1810 E. Hazelton Avenue
Stockton CA 95205
Reference Application #
PA- 2000007
PA- 2000094
To whom it may concern,
2020
CemmJoaquin County
nity Development
We are concerned citizens regarding the proposal to bring in a Cannabis
Business Park on Locke Road here in Lockeford, Calif. We are deeply
concerned that this would gravely and adversely affect our small community
if allowed to be erected in the heart of our small town!
Traffic on and near this sight would increase in immense proportions.
Our current traffic through our thoroughfare (Highway 88) is already
overtaxed at times. The additional traffic and truck deliveries, etc. on Hi. 88
and Locke Rd. would severely compound this issue and cause great stress,
not to mention great inconvenience, to possible catastrophic measure, on our
community.
There is the issue of the overwhelming, undesirable stench that would
accompany the operation of a plant of this nature. Additionally, the issue of
the amount of water this plant would warrant could prove very detrimental
due to the enormous strain it would pose on our water supply.
We are also concerned about the drug activity this would encourage.
We're aware of the laws and medicinal benefit to a smaller percentage of the
population, however, we believe that our community, which is comprised
mostly of family units (including impressionable children), would be gravely
effected. We believe it's time we put the health and welfare of our children
and families first! We must be careful what we promote and allow. When
we allow things that do not exemplify the healthy future of our families, we
cripple the understanding of what is acceptable.
Concerned citizens,
.- ,— jery I S{-ccn l` u + z
Lf n CC ( ldapg. 1
bv t
tcljard 3aepe
