If we take the measured TN concentration of the septic tank effluent at 146 mg/L and decrease this <br /> If <br /> by 30% as was calculated above, we find that a theoretical TN concentration of 103 <br /> mg/L may enter the water table. The TN concentration determined in the water table sample was <br /> found to be 113 mg/L.
