Corral Hollow Rd, Tracy
APN 212-260-02, SR0082866
The San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department (EHD) has reviewed the Soil Suitability/Nitrate
Loading (SSNL) Study, dated October 28, 2020, submitted on November 10, 2020 for the above noted
location, and has the following comments for your consideration.
The SSNL was prepared to determine the suitability of the above noted parcel for onsite wastewater treatment
system (OWTS) usage and the potential long-term impact of nitrate to groundwater for the following proposed
project.
1. Either an 1-bedroom dwelling or a 2-bedroom dwelling.
Based on the information provided, the EHD can make the following findings:
1. The Soil Suitability/Nitrate Loading Study supports the suitability for standard OWTS usage for the
potential 1-bedroom development project on the above-mentioned parcel, pursuant to San Joaquin
County Ordinance Code Title 9, Section 9-1105.2(d).
2. According to SSNL Study, the estimated nitrate loading from the proposed 2-bedroom OWTS usage
is 10.6 mg/L-N above the water quality objective of 10 mg/L-N.
1. The Soil Suitability/Nitrate Loading Study supports the suitability for OWTS usage with the
following conditions:
a. The potential impact of the nitrate to ground water shall be mitigated. OWTS shall utilize
supplemental treatment and meet performance requirements in Section 10.9 of Regional
Water Quality Control Board OWTS policy (Boards Policy).
b. A Registered Civil Engineer shall submit complete engineering design plan to EHD for approval
prior to issuance of building permit. Fee will be based on the current fee schedule at time of
payment.
If you have any questions please contact Naseem Ahmed, Senior Registered Environmental Health
Specialist, Sr REHS, at nahmed@sjgov.org or (209) 616-3018.
Muniapparu, REHS
Assistant Director
C: Live Oak
1868 E.
