Date: <br />Manufacturer training: <br />OVERALL INSPECTION NOTES AND COMMENTS <br />NOTES <br />On site for 2 tank removals; two 10,000 gallon gasoline tanks (regular and premium). <br />-Witnessed tank removals. No noticeable rust was observed outside the tanks and holes were not observed at the bottom of <br />the tanks when it was removed. <br />-Witnessed soil sampling of piping, tank pit and under dispensers. <br />-Verified there were no signs of leakage, stains or contamination. <br />-The piping observed were flex piping that were approximately 14ft. <br />-Tanks pit measurements: 32ft (length) x 25ft(width) x 12ft(depth) <br />-Pea gravel stock pile volume: approximately 250 cubic feet. There were no soil stock piles. <br />-Tanks were cleaned and triple rinsed prior to inspection <br />-600 pounds of dry ice was used to inert the tanks <br />LEL : <br />Tank 1 - 87 gasoline LEL 0, oxygen 0% <br />Tank 2 - 91 gasoline LEL 0,oxygen 0% <br />SAMPLING: <br />-Sampling was conducted by Richie Winn of Stantec. <br />-No stock pile samples were taken. The only stock pile on site was pea gravel. <br />-Four samples was taken below the tank pit 2.5-3.5 feet into the native soil, one at each end of the tanks labeled TP-1-14.5, <br />TP-2-14.5, TP-3-25.5, & TP-4-15.5. <br />-Three samples was taken at the tanks piping and dispensers 4 feet into the native soil labeled D-1-4, D-2-4, & P-1-4 <br />Verified that the city permit was obtained prior to removal. <br />The tanks rinse was placed in one 55 gallon drum and one approximately 330 gallon container to be transported by Belshire <br />Environmental. <br />The tanks were hauled by West Coast Equipment in Turlock. <br />The contractor will not be backfilling the tank pit because they are scheduled to install new underground storage tanks. <br />To minimize person to person contact EHD is choosing to write the name of person receiving the report instead <br />of having them sign. <br />The person in charge is responsible for ensuring that the above mentioned facility is in compliance with all applicable sections of the California Health and <br />Safety Code.
