Complaint Investigation Summary Report#:5105 <br /> COMPLAINT ID: CO0052300 Site Location: 1115 E JACKSON ST <br /> Activity Summary <br /> Activity Date Recorded by <br /> 08/11/2020 Met with Hector Gonzalez, business owner. I discussed the compliant that was ALANIZ <br /> received. Hector granted permission to do a hazardous waste (HW) inspection <br /> and a hazardous material business plan (HMBP) inspection. I conducted the HW <br /> inspection and Robert Lopez conducted the HMBP inspection. Hazardous waste <br /> and hazardous materials were found on site and violations were issued from both <br /> inspections. <br /> Waste from the previous business, Valley Pattern and Manufacturing, was <br /> observed on site. Discussed proper disposal with Hector. <br /> Another business was also operating out of the facility. Hector explained that he <br /> was leasing part of the property to someone that paints cars. I asked Hector for <br /> his contact information. He said he would provide it to me. <br /> 08/17/2020 Printed out the hazardous waste and hazardous material business plan inspection ALANIZ <br /> reports to add to the complaint file. Called Hector Gonzalez, 209-992-0918, and <br /> left a message asking for the contact info of the person he leases part of the <br /> building to. <br /> 09/08/2020 Hector Gonzalez leases out a portion of his property to Jose Alcasar. Jose's ALANIZ <br /> number is 209-993-2040. 1 had called and left a message <br /> 09/23/2020 Have not gotten any response from Jose Alcasar. ALANIZ <br /> Emailed Claudia Muro information regarding Jose Alcasar. Discussed the <br /> complaint with Claudia and updated her on the current situation. Claudia is going <br /> to call Jose and speak spanish with him. <br /> 09/23/2020 Received complaint details from John Alaniz (EHD)with request that I contact MURO <br /> shop tenant Jose Alcasar. <br /> 09/24/2020 Discussed the complaint with Claudia Muro, EHS. ALANIZ <br /> 09/24/2020 1 called Jose Alcasar at 209-993-2040. In Spanish, I told him that paint was MURO <br /> observed in his shop and if he also has a paint gun. He said he doesn't have any <br /> paint guns. I asked if his business is run daily. He responded that he isn't running <br /> a business. He is retired. He rented the shop as a place to go to when he gets <br /> bored at home. I asked if he paints cars at the shop. Jose reported that he does <br /> not and further added that he rents a paint booth at the place where his son works <br /> "Calliber". I asked if the facility had any inherited waste from previous owner. He <br /> reported there was not. <br /> Discussed with John Alaniz. <br /> Called Jose Alcasar a second time. I asked Jose Alcasar what he does with the <br /> sanding waste. He reported that he collects the sanding waste into a bag and <br /> takes to the facility where his sons works"Calliber' and adds to the hazardous <br /> waste. <br /> Jose told me he only paints his and his family's cars. <br /> I told him I would send him a HHW brochure via email so that he can take his <br /> waste there.
