i r <br /> KLEINFELDER <br /> A maximum of eight soil samples will be analyzed for: <br /> o Volatile Organic compounds by EPA Method 8240. <br /> o Total Petroleum Hydrocarbons A Method 418.1. <br /> o Metal by ICAP(EPA Method . <br /> o Mercury,Arsenic, and Selenium . <br /> If a seep is found and sampled, the sample will be analyzed for Volatile Organic <br /> Compounds by EPA Methods 601 and 602, Total Petroleum Hydrocarbons by EPA <br /> Method 418.1, metals by EPA Method 6010, and arsenic, selenium, and mercury by AA. <br /> 3.2 GROUNDWATER ASSESSMENT <br /> A monitoring well will be installed to assess the potential for contamination in the ground <br /> water under the landfill. The well will be installed in the area most likely to have a high <br /> concentration of waste, based on previous investigations. <br /> Drillin <br /> One well will be installed in soil boring -1 (described in Section 3.1, shown on Plate 2). <br /> The boring will first be advanced to a total depth of approximately 10 feet below first <br /> encountered ground water. <br /> Well Installation <br /> The well will be installed as follows: <br /> 1. Well construction materials (casing, end caps, etc.) will be steam cleaned <br /> onsite prior to installation to reduce the potential for introducing <br /> contamination into the well. <br /> 137-88-1663 <br />
